James’ life has taken him on a far ranging journey of exploration and adventure.

A West Point and Harvard graduate, former Army Ranger and Special Operations officer, international business executive and high altitude mountaineer, in 2005, he achieved distinction as the 85th climber in the world (and 26th American) to complete the “Seven Summits.” The Seven Summits represent the highest peaks on each of Earth's seven continents.

This site presents information about James’ Seven Summits quest (1997-2005). Through 2018, he has continued to climb and has reached the highest summit in nearly 70 countries.
